Easily the best Clacton B&B I have stayed in and also the least expensive, booked through booking.com. The B&B is in central Clacton ten minutes walk from the station,  the seafront and pier.

The B&B is in a beautiful Victorian house decorated to a very high standard. The room was spacious, clean and the bed excellent with crisp linen and super soft pillows.

WIFI in the room was excellent with videos uninterupted.
The room had tea and coffee making facilities and a tasty selection of biscuits.Bathroom and toilet are shared but clean and fresh and beautifully designed.

Full English breakfast (included in the price of the room) was delicious with plentiful fruit juice and coffee. Before breakfast each morning I sat in the sunny garden and chatted to the charming hosts, Julie and her husband. Markus via (Trip Advisor)

Hollie, Stayed in June 2017

Having stayed in numerous B&B’s in the Clacton area due to visiting family who live locally, Olderfleet is by far the best yet!

After a four drive from Hampshire over the weekend just gone we were warmly greeted by Julie (one of the owners) who welcomed us into her gorgeous home. We were promptly shown to our room upstairs and given the low-down on what’s what. The room we were allocated was stunning, tastefully decorated and not a speck of dust to be found.

The room was very well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, a functioning modern TV with freeview and all the other mod cons you’d expect. The communal bathroom was equally as tasteful, fresh and clean throughout. Despite being a communal bathroom no-one else seemed to use it except us. There was also a separate WC. The bed was also very comfortable as it was crisp. It was one of the most tasteful and comfortable rooms we have ever stayed in.

Breakfast was served at 9:30am and was served in the spacious and modern kitchen with the other two guests. Breakfast was a full English, using only the best quality ingredients. Needless to say it was very tasty! Like any good host Julie took the time to chat to her guests. I don’t consider myself a ‘people person’ (whereas my partner is), but Julie was a delight to speak too and was very accommodating throughout our stay, but not intrusive – the perfect balance. A rare thing these days.

Free Wi-fi is also available and there’s off street parking available for two cars. There’s also a large Sainsbury’s just across the road and the seafront/town center is a five minute walk away.

All things considered we will certainly be back and we can’t thank Julie enough for making us feel welcome in her home, many thanks! A visitor from Hampshire (via Trip Advisor)
